Christine Y. Chavez has a background in water rights administration and energy and water conservation
program management in the state of New Mexico. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University
(B.S. in Environmental Science and M.S. in Biology). Christine is the Water Conservation Manager for the
City of Santa Fe and is a certified Energy Auditor with the Building Performance Institute, Certified
Landscape Irrigation Auditor with the Irrigation Association, Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper
through EPA WaterSense and is working on completion of her WERS Verifier certification through the
